Method of responding when "It is necessary to update your account" is displayed
Outline
In relation to new Keio Mail that began service on November 11 (Tuesday), people who are using a Keio ID (for example, “keio-taro@a2.keio.jp”) as a Google Account will, after logging in to publicly available Google services, be sent information displayed as “It is necessary to update your account.” This means that information that trouble has occurred in a publicly available Google Group or Google Calendar use is sent.
Causes
This occurs when, during processing of the migration to the new Keio Mail system, a Keio ID (for example, keio-taro@a2.keio.jp) was also set to permit use on G Suite (formerly Google Apps), it is recognized that both the email addresses (login user names) of an individual and as Keio University have been registered as Keio ID (for example, keio-taro@a2.keio.jp) for Google services and it is impossible to distinguish them (conflict between accounts) has occurred.
Response method
In this case, when you are logging in to Google, the screen, "It is necessary to update your account" is displayed.
This will be extremely troublesome for all of you bothered in this way, but it has been confirmed that the procedure explained below will end the trouble, so please cooperate with its operation.
Select one case you desire from case 1) or case 2) and perform the selected operation.
1) Case where you need not use Keio ID as your login account to publicly available Google Services in the future
After confirming that this is a case where you need not use Keio ID as your login account to publicly available Google Services, perform setting.
2) Case where you want to continue to use Keio ID as your login account to publicly available Google Services in the future
After confirming that this is a case where you will use Keio ID as your login account to publicly available Google Services, perform setting.
