Discontinuation of On-Premise Version of Office Suite at Microsoft EES

In accordance with Microsoft's termination policy, the operation of the on-premise version of the Office Suite of Microsoft EES benefits (for which application and loan operation is conducted at the KIC counter for full-time faculty and staff) will be terminated at the KIC counter on the following date.

Licenses "Microsoft 365 Apps" that are installed and used on the user's own device can continue to be used (not subject to this termination).

Notes.

Due to operational changes on Microsoft's side, there is a possibility that the service may no longer be available before the end date. We appreciate your understanding.

If you wish to continue to use Office products on shared terminals in laboratories, departments, etc.

Office installed through the KIC (formerly ITC) window application must be uninstalled by the end of the provision date.

If the shared terminal is Windows

Microsoft 365 Apps are available.
(After installing Microsoft 365 Apps, license authentication of shared computers will be performed. Click here for detailed instructions.

  • The login account for the terminal concerned must not be shared by more than one user.
  • When using Office, you will be authenticated by keio.jp* after starting Office on the relevant terminal.
  • If installed using this method, it will not be counted for computers (up to 5 computers) under the “microsoft apps” license.

Other than above (including Mac)
