Notes on upgrading to macOS Sonoma (version 14.x)

Regarding SPSS, a temporary fix for the new OS was released on October 10th.

ESET and EndNote are now compatible with the new OS. Please see below for details.

SPSS is not yet compatible with the new OS. It looks like they are planning to release a temporary fix on October 13th.

On September 27, 2023, a new version of macOS, 14.x (macOS Sonoma), was released.
A new version of the OS may cause previously used software and services to stop working properly.

• The academic software EndNote has issued a notice that users should wait to upgrade their OS until the new OS-compatible version is available.

• Other software and campus IPP printing may also stop working properly.

We recommend that you do not update to a new version of the OS immediately after its release, but only after confirming that your software and services are compatible with the new version.
