To users of the on-campus network
If you intend to bring your PC into the Mita Campus to use the Keio internal network, in order to avoid being a victim or perpetrator of spreading viruses, please be sure to check the following items before the day you use it.
And even if you do not plan to use the network, you may be automatically linked to the network simply by starting up a PC that is equipped with a wireless LAN function, so you must either disable the wireless LAN function or also check the same items.
※Please understand that the Mita KIC bears no responsibility whatsoever for any damage incurred by virus contamination, including destruction of data.
Check Items
The major PC security measures are introducing Windows Update and anti-virus software.

Latest Oracle Java update
Virus contamination could occur targeting at the vulnerabilities of Oracle Java, so be sure to update to the latest version. -
Introducing anti-virus software
If you have not introduced anti-virus software, please introduce anti-virus software .
You could cause a virus to contaminate and spread, so this is extremely dangerous. -
Latest pattern file update
Only introducing anti-virus software cannot discover and remove new types of viruses.
Always updating to the latest pattern file is the most effective way to prevent contamination by a new virus. -
Searching and eradicating on all drives
After introducing anti-virus software and pattern file upgrading, search all drives to make sure they are not contaminated by a virus.
※ The Use-related Consultation Corner in the 1st basement of the Graduate Student Building performs security checks and offers countermeasure support.
Authenticated network connection
To use the Mita campus network, authentication is necessary.
