Changes to Various Software Licensing Services for AY2025

Due to changes in the various software license agreements and product revisions available to the entire university, there will be the following changes in our service from April 2025.

End of service for JMP Pro

JMP Student Edition is a new, free license that is granted to individuals and must be renewed each year. Users can apply directly to JMP online.
JMP Pro is available until March 30, 2025. If you wish to continue using JMP, please uninstall JMP Pro during AY2024 and consider using JMP Students Edition.

Changes in license authentication method for Signals ChemDraw (ChemOffice+)

The method of use will change from obtaining licenses directly from the Software Licensing Center (keio.jp) to applying for a license account at the Information Technology Center of each campus. Authentication with the issued license account will be required each time the application is launched.
For details, please refer to the "Signals ChemDraw (ChemOffice+)" User Guide page after April.

End of service for ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap)

If you are using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap), please uninstall it during AY2024 and consider migrating to "ArcGIS Pro".

Added limitation on eligible users of SAS

In light of the recent significant decline in the use of SAS across the university, the university-wide license agreement will be terminated. As a transitional measure, faculty members and students in faculties and graduate schools that have class use will be able to use SAS in AY2025. We will announce on the "SAS" usage information page as soon as the eligibility for use is determined.
Please consider migrating to "SAS OnDemand for Academics" (cloud-based, free of charge, users register with SAS themselves), which is available for all other users.

Changes in ESET Licensing Procedures

The method of obtaining the product authentication key directly from the Software Licensing Center (keio.jp) will change to that the user register an account on ESET HOME (Canon) using Keio Mail address, enter the purchase code obtained from the Software Licensing Center, and then the product authentication key will be sent to the user.
For details, please check the "ESET" User Guide page after April.

End of service for on-premise version of Office Suite on Microsoft EES (Full-time faculty and staff only)

When using Microsoft Office, please install the Office product "Microsoft 365 Apps" for personal devices (including Mac) that are exclusive to one user. Windows devices that are shared by users (login user names are not shared by multiple users) can also be used by installing Microsoft 365 Apps and using keio.jp authentication. Please note that Microsoft 365 Apps cannot be installed on shared Macs.
Office applications installed on Microsoft EES must be uninstalled during AY2024.
